“I appeared for medicine but due to some reason, I came back to the cinema field.”

But as they say, life has its plans and some experiences make us question the degree of benevolence and predictability in the world. One such incident in his life kept him away from the film sets for six long years. He says: “After few days I realised I was paralysed from the left side.”

"My entire family was around me. That is our strength."

“Family is where life starts and love never ends”. Life is unpredictable at times. We often find ourselves stuck in difficulty where we can always rely on our family. The love and strength of a family are unconditional and we can always depend on them for support, encouragement, and care. It is the family who always takes us to the right path in our life.

Back to the days when he lost his beloved mother and silence was his only companion, he recalls resting on the sofa with his head turned to the side when an unknown man walks in with a film offer. Raghavendra Rajkumar was shocked, upset and felt insulted as he was not in a condition to act. As he heard the movie title ‘Ammana Mane’ something from within struck him. It was like his mother had sent a message through Nikhil Manjoo to take up this opportunity, which bagged him an award ‘Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor’. It was a ‘Blessing in Disguise.’

“Those eyes are alive. It’s somewhere watching us.”

How can the eyes of one person help rebuild the vision of two blinds? Eyes donated by one person provides the gift of vision to two blind persons. In medical terms, donated eyes are used for corneal blind patients to restore vision. Live on even when you are gone! What can be more satisfying than sharing your vision to light up someone’s life in darkness? In this show, Mr. Raghavendra Rajkumar talks about Dr. Rajkumar’s eye donation and how he had become a symbol of hope for somebody.
